Arsenal are running out of time to complete any more transfer businessbefore the start of the new Premier League season. There is just over a fortnight left to go until Mikel Arteta takes his squad up to Old Trafford to take on Ruben Amorim and Manchester United.
The Gunners are looking to secure an opening-day victory against their old rivals, setting them on the path to a successful Premier League campaign. After three strong campaigns on the trot, they are hoping this season can finally see them lift the title.
However, Andrea Berta's work to bring in six players so far is not yet finished. With the clock ticking down, football.london looks at the three things that the club needs to do before their first match of the new season.

Sell on the surplus talentThere remain several players that Arsenal still need to find a place for, with the additional benefit of freeing up funds and space in the squad. Oleksandr Zinchenko, Karl Hein, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Reiss Nelson, and Fabio Vieira all remain available options for clubs.
However, so far, finding suitors has not been straightforward, although there have been approaches for Nelson and, reportedly, for Zinchenko too. If the club can move on some of these players who are surplus to requirement, it could spark a late dash for even more quality reinforcement.
Find an Eze agreementThe key potential incoming that remains for Arsenal is well-known at this stage, with a move for Ebere Eze in the pipeline. The club wants the deal, the player is keen on the move, and now it is up to the Gunners to find a way of making it happen.
Of course, part of the problem is the movement of surplus players as Arsenal look to give themselves more room to invest. The player has a release clause that football.london understand expires before the start of the Premier League season, while the south London side would like at least £35million up front in any deal, but Arsenal are believed not yet to be concerned about the clause no longer being valid, with hope of a negotiation to a better fee.
The left wingIt is understood by football.london that any move for Eze would be separate to the signing of a left winger and therefore the futures of the current options for Mikel Arteta in the role. Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have both been linked with summer exits, but it looks as though the latter is more likely at this stage. All options are being considered by the Belgian and his representatives, with a contract offer which remains unsigned on the table.
Eze can play off the left, but Arsenal could look to move for a natural left wing replacement for Trossard should he leave, and would certainly rather not be left short. Noni Madueke is another player to factor into the conversation, but the club are known to admire Real Madrid's Rodrygo and Newcastle's Anthony Gordon. Moves for the pair are expected to be both complicated and expensive, meaning the likelihood is the left wing saga runs late into August.
