Ferne McCann reveals real reason she quit show after seven years

Reality TV star has revealed the real reason she decided to bring her show to an end.

The mum-of-two recently took the plunge as she announced she would not be returning to film her after the final season.

Ferne, 34, first let the cameras in as she entered single parenthood in First Time Mum.

More recently, she documented engaged life with her businessman fiancé , her six-year-old daughter Sunday and her one-year-old daughter Finty.

But after seven years, Ferne has decided to bring her family show to an end, revealing the real reason behind her decision to the .

Speaking at the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday night, she said: "It was one of the most difficult decisions of my life.

"Its been in my life for seven years but I made this decision for Sunday and for my children. I want them to just have a break and be children for a while."

Confirming the news with followers last month, she wrote: "After an incredible 13 series I have made the very difficult decision that this series of @fernemyfamandme will be my last.

"Where do I begin? Firstly by saying a huge, huge thank you to each one of you that have watched my show and been on our family journey with us.

"This show has been such an incredible part of my life for the last seven years and what a ride it has been filming from being pregnant with Sunday to now. Your support and loyalty to me and my family has, at times, lifted me more than you will ever know. Thank you."

While Ferne's children will be kept out of the spotlight for the meantime, the TV personality will be back on screens in January as she joins .

Discussing her training, she says: "I'm excited to be walking - or skating should I say - into Dancing On Ice.

"I just saw Ekin Su and asked her to tell me about how I'm going to be show ready in time.

"I'm waiting for it to click. It's so hard."

Ferne confirmed that her children would be able to come and watch her rehearse.

Ferne said: "That's what's going to be so exciting about this - this is my first show that the whole family are going to enjoy. It's such a family show where Sunday can come along, my grandad, my mum...

"I really want to be positive but at the moment I can't do a lot of the stuff and I'm getting very frustrated! I just want to trust the process. I can't see how I'm skating now how I'm going to be show ready come January! So just pray for me!"
