Police body camera footage has captured the chilling moment a man tells cops a simple three-word sentence as he's arrested for trying to kill his wife the day after .
Mark Taylor was apprehended by after he went on the run with his teenage son having his wife multiple times, locking her in the family home. He was caught by police later that day after automatic number plate recognition cameras captured his car moving around Derbyshire before heading to Cheshire.
stopped Taylor and arrested him on suspicion of attempted murder as his son sat in the front passenger seat of the car next to him. Officers are heard in the video warning Taylor that he is under caution, to which he chillingly replied: "I'm not bothered".

Seemingly accepting his fate and the consequences of his actions, Taylor told cops: "I'm not bothered. That's it. My life's ended. My life's ended now." The 57-year-old's attack on his wife was so brutal that the knife he was using snapped, but he didn't let that stop him.
He grabbed a second knife before carrying out the assault on his partner. He then demanded she hand him her phone, saying he would call an ambulance. Instead, callous Taylor told her "this will be the end of you" before locking the doors to their home and driving away with their son.
Taylor's wife tried to call for help through the letterbox of their home in Baslow, before managing to crawl up the stairs where she managed to shout out of a bedroom window, catching the attention of a dog walker passing by who called emergency services. She was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering stab wounds to her neck, arm, chest and stomach in the attack which took place on February 15.
Taylor, of Wheatlands Lane, Baslow, denied the offence but was found guilty on August 15 after a trial at Derby Crown Court. He appeared before the same court on October 14 to be sentenced where he was jailed for 23 years with a five-year extension for dangerousness. He was also handed an indefinite restraining order preventing him from having any contact with his wife and son.
"This was a ferocious and sustained attack by Taylor on his side who genuinely feared she was going to die," said Temporary Detective Constable Amber Holmes, who led the investigation. "After this incident she disclosed to police that she had been suffering from domestic abuse at the hands of her husband for around 40 years including a previous incident involving a knife.
"It's clear from the history and the actions of Taylor on this day that he posed a very real threat to his wife. I am pleased, therefore, that the judge has recognised the danger posed by Taylor with this extended sentence."
