Oasis have decided on their UK and Ireland support acts.
Warring brothers and have finally put their long-running feud behind them following pleas from their mother, Peggy, and will be hitting the road again. According to reports, the siblings have finally decided on who will be taking to the stage to entertain fans prior to their own set.
Liam, 52, has previously teased fans about after engaging in a question and answer on X, formerly known as . And it's set to be a 90s nostalgia fest with The Verve frontman and solo artist and indie rock band Cast, being named on the bill, claims a new report from .
Most recently, Cast supported Liam on his Definitely Maybe Tour, paying homage to the debut album as he celebrated the 30th anniversary of the record. Taking to social media on October 4, in view of his 3.8 million followers, Liam said: "Just spoke to the CHEF here it is OASIS RICHARD ASHCROFT CAST you are welcome see you nxt year I'm of to to identify as a massive c**t LG x."
Hardcore Oasis fans will know that Noel, 57, was known as the Chef throughout the reign of the band during their heyday. A follow up post from Liam read: "Cast the 1 n only Richard Ashcroft and us s**t c***s that's worth 98 grands worth of any bumblebees not so hard earned cash." Another post added: "Only kidding we never set sail without the 1 and only RICARDO he's our boy from day DOT come aboard Rkid."
Oasis and Richard Ashcroft go way back, with the Manchester siblings having supported The Verve back in 1993 before they rocketed to international fame. Ashcroft was even an inspiration behind the 1995 Oasis track Cast No Shadow. After Oasis hit the jackpot and found superstardom, The Verve supported the band during their huge show at Earls Court in London back in 1997.
Elsewhere, Cast performed alongside Oasis at their iconic Knebworth shows back in 1996. This, of course, is bad news for , hinting that their "bags were ready". While millions of fans were left heartbroken after failing to secure tickets to the reunion, , similar to the ABBA Voyage show.
Earlier this year Noel said he'd be "bang up" for an hologram show - after going to see 's offering. ABBA Voyage, launched in 2022, has holographic avatars of Bjorn Ulvaeus, Agnetha Faltskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Benny Andersson singing crowd favourites such as Dancing Queen and Waterloo.
A source told us: "The Oasis reunion is the hottest ticket in town so it's no surprise Liam and Noel want to capitalise on that. Having their own avatars would mean they could tour forever and keep on raking in the cash – and they’d be giving the fans exactly what they want." Liam and Noel will set out on their huge reunion tour next year. It is estimated it will generate more than £400million, with the brothers making at least £50m each. The band also recently trademarked a wide range of Oasis merchandise including clothes pegs, decorations, deodorant and moisturisers.
