is competing on this year's and has been impressing the judges so far. Last weekend, the pair danced the Rumba together where they gained impressive remarks from the judges. However, judge Craig Revel Horwood critiqued the pair over their connection.

Speaking on spin-off show It Takes Two, to display a connection with Amy. He admitted: "I can't even say it was approval. She just said ‘you need to do this, this is what it is supposed to be so do it’." He added: "It is the most intimate dance and I think that psychologically has its own thing. I am a married man and I very seriously, I wanted to take the dance justice but also did the family proud."

Amy, who had never danced the Rumba on the show before said: "I loved it. I have so much respect for the judges but I have to disagree with Craig saying there wasn't enough connection. My husband, the lovely Ben, was sat at home and was like 'she danced that with JB as though she was dancing with me'. He is a dancer himself. We felt really connected, so for the first time I am going to disagree with you there Craig."

Amy replicated a move with JB where there faces were touching as she exclaimed: "We couldn't have been more connected." JB added: "Honestly, I was like 'how can I be more connected than I was'. When I came home, Chloe [his wife] was like 'I definitely felt like there was a connection - at one point I thought you were kissing'. I was like 'no, no, I wasn't kissing. As you know she is very supportive."

This week, Strictly has seen its dancing during Saturday's live show. The Go Compare star, 52, came under fire from viewers when he was seen placing his hand across professional dance partner Katya Jones' stomach before she removed it.

During the same show, the dancer snubbed a high-five from Wynne. The pair have both apologised, saying the moment was a "joke" after a clip showing the incident was widely shared on social media. Appearing on Monday's It Takes Two,

Katya said: "Sorry Fleur [East - who hosts the show], sorry, I will get onto dancing I promise but can I please first get something out of the way that I feel like overshadowed our performance for absolutely no reason and quite frankly, actually, I can't bare sitting here watching this man

"In fact, it couldn't be further away from the truth so I have to make this absolutely clear that this whole incident with the hand and the high five on Saturday night it was an inside joke between Wynne and I. Was it a silly joke? Yes! Was it a bad joke? Yes!" Wynne interjected: "Yeah and I've watched it back, I can see how people may have misinterpreted it."

Katya continued: "Yeah but however, it was a joke and even the idea that it made me feel 'uncomfortable' or 'offended' in anyway is total nonsense. Those that have doubts, you guys have it got wrong! So hopefully this will be the end of it. You [Wynne] just keep making me smile, please!"
