The Punjab government has released bumper recruitment for 2000 posts of Physical Training Instructor (PTI) in government primary schools. This recruitment is being done by the Directorate of School Education (DSE), Punjab. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website ssapunjab.org.
What should be the qualification?
Candidates applying for these posts must have passed 12th from a recognized board. Along with this, they should have a degree of any Physical Education Diploma or Certificate Course like DPED or CPED. The special thing is that students studying in the final year of diploma can also apply. Also, Punjabi language subject is mandatory in 10th.
What is the age limit?
The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and the maximum age should be 37 years. However, reserved categories will get age relaxation as per government rules.
How much salary will be given?
The selected candidates will be given a salary of Rs 29,200 per month in the first three years of probation period. After this, salary and allowances will be given as per the Seventh Pay Commission.
What is the application fee?
General category and other categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 2000 while the fee for SC and ST category candidates has been fixed at Rs 1000.
What will be the selection process?
Candidates will be selected in three phases. In the first phase, there will be a written test and a qualifying test of Punjabi language. After this, a physical fitness test will be taken and finally the selection will be done on the basis of merit list.
What will be asked in the written test?
In the written exam, questions related to general knowledge, reasoning ability, pedagogy and teaching aptitude, physical education, Punjabi and English language will be asked. The exam will be of total 100 marks.

Then click on “Online Apply” link.
Register by entering the required information.
After this, login and upload the required documents and pay the fee.
Finally submit the form and take its print.
