Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], April 3 (ANI): BJP leader and veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty on Thursday blamed the Mamata government for cancellation of over 25,000 teachers and non-teaching staff jobs in the state and urged the youth of West Bengal to get rid of the TMC dispensation if they wanted a bright future.
The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the Calcutta High Court's decision to cancel the recruitment of over 25,000 teachers and non-teaching staff by the School Service Commission (SSC) in 2016 for state-run and state-aided schools.
Speaking to ANI, Chakraborty said, "Truth always wins. It has come as a shock to thousands of aspirants, but only the TMC government is responsible for this. I want to tell society, and especially the youth, to get rid of this TMC government as soon as possible if you want a bright future. Only the BJP can offer a good future."
"There is nothing greater than the SC judgement. Why did this scam happen? It shouldn't have happened, but it did, and now the truth has come out. Only the TMC government is responsible for this. Change is very important and a must," he added.

The SC bench led by CJI Sanjiv Khanna while pronouncing the verdict, said, "We find no valid ground or reason to interfere with the decision of the High Court that services of tainted candidates must be terminated",
Following the ruling, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday attacked BJP, questioning why Bengal is being repeatedly targeted.

Addressing a press conference at Nabanna, Banerjee said, "SSC is an autonomous body. We, as a government, will not interfere with their work. If the Court mentioned three months (for a fresh selection process), we are with the candidates on humanitarian grounds. Sukanta Majumdar said that I'm responsible for this. Why are they targeting Bengal all the time? I was born in Bengal, and I know the intention of the BJP and the Central Government." (ANI)
