In a heartwarming tale of friendship, focus, and fierce determination, six students, three from Kota and three from other parts of India, have achieved what many only dream of: a perfect 100 percentile in the JEE Main 2025.
According to a report by TOI, these six are among just 24 students nationwide to reach this rare milestone, out of over 14 lakh candidates. Their story stands out not only because of their academic brilliance, but also because of the strong bond they shared throughout their journey.
The Kota Trio: Friends, Classmates, and High Achievers
Arnav Singh, Rajit Gupta, and Lakshya Sharma, all based in Kota, studied together in the same coaching batch for three years. Two of them even went to the same school. What began as an academic partnership soon turned into a deep friendship that kept them grounded and motivated.
Kota’s atmosphere added fuel to their dreams. “The city breathes academic ambition. I live just 3 km from the coaching hub in Talwandi. The environment constantly pushes you to do better,” said Arnav, who bagged an All India Rank (AIR) of 11.
Rajit, who scored AIR 16 and expects more than 95% in his Class XII boards, said, “Watching students from across India come here made us aim higher. And being local had its perks, I didn’t have to leave my family or miss mum’s home-cooked meals.”
Lakshya, with AIR 22, added, “It wasn’t just study all day. We shared laughs, talked cricket, and discovered food joints near the institute. We built memories, not just marks.”
The Non-Kota Stars: United by Ambition
Their three close friends, Om Prakash Bahera from Odisha (AIR 1), Saksham Jindal from Haryana (AIR 10), and MD Anas from Jharkhand (AIR 17), also studied in the same batch. Together, they formed a support system that lifted each other during the most challenging times of preparation.
Om Prakash’s top rank shows how talent finds its way when backed by hard work and the right company.
The Road Ahead: IIT Bombay Bound
Despite sharing the same percentile, NTA’s tie-breaking method led to different ranks among them, showing how close and competitive the exam truly is.
But now, their paths merge again. All six friends aim to pursue Computer Science Engineering at IIT Bombay, considered one of the most prestigious courses in India.
“Next stop: Computer Science at IIT Bombay,” said Arnav, beaming with pride.
