Apple today announced the iPhone 17 Pro, featuring a new aluminum body, an updated camera system, and a range of new features for both photography and video.

Stronger Build
The iPhone 17 Pro is constructed with a new aluminum build, which is anodized in three finishes: Silver, Deep Blue, and Cosmic Orange. The back of the phone features a raised plateau, designed to improve heat dissipation and provide space for a larger camera module. The new design is noted to be four times more resistant than the previous generation's glass, and the front is protected by Ceramic Shield 2, which is three times more scratch-resistant than the last year's model.
Upgraded Camera
The new Pro model features an updated camera system with three "Fusion" cameras. The front-facing "Center Stage" camera has been improved with an 18MP sensor, a wider field of view, and higher resolution. The main camera system includes a new 48MP Fusion telephoto camera, which offers 4x optical zoom and 8x zoom for a 200mm focal length. Apple stated that the new telephoto sensor is 56% larger than its predecessor, which allows for better low-light performance and a longer reach. The new camera system supports up to 40x digital zoom for photos and enables the use of eight " Pro lenses" for various shooting scenarios.
For video, the iPhone 17 Pro now supports Dolby Vision HDR, 4K120 recording, ACES, and ProRes Raw. The device also includes GenLock, a feature for synchronizing with external cameras, which is designed for professional video production workflows.
Battery
In terms of battery life, the new model offers two more hours of use compared to the previous generation.
Storage
All iPhone 17 Pro models will start with a base storage of 256GB, with the iPhone 17 Pro starting at a price of $1,099, maintaining the same price as the previous model. A 2TB storage option will be available on the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Accessories
Apple also announced a new line of accessories, including a "Tech Woven" case, a clear case, and silicone cases in new colors, along with a cross-body strap.
Price
iPhone 17 pro will start at $1,099 in US and Rs.1,34,900 in India.
iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at $1199 in US Rs, 1,49,900.
