Jaipur is getting ready to host US Vice-President J D Vance, his wife Usha, and their three children on 22 April, as part of their visit to India, TOI reported.
The trip, which is both personal and official, will include meetings with industry leaders and government officials in Jaipur. Vance is also expected to visit popular tourist sites like the Amber Fort and City Palace. In addition, he will deliver a speech at an industry event focused on ‘Trade and Technology’.
Security has been tightened across the city ahead of the visit. According to TOI, citing sources, the US second family is expected to reach Jaipur on 21 April, shortly after the vice-president attends a formal dinner with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.
Officials involved in the preparations said that various security agencies have already begun their groundwork to ensure a safe and smooth stay for the visiting dignitaries. A security team also inspected Amber Fort ahead of the visit.
As per TOI, the Vance family is expected to leave Jaipur for Agra on the morning of 23 April.
