More gruesome details have emerged from the death of singer Liam Payne. The former One Direction passed away on Wednesday. He was 31. As per a Fox 59 report, an autopsy revealed that the ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ singer passed away from "multiple traumas" and "internal and external hemorrhage" after falling from the balcony of a third-floor room at the Casa Sur hotel, located in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires on October 16, according to initial autopsy results released by Argentina's National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 14.

The autopsy revealed internal bleeding and 25 traumatic injuries to his skull, limbs, and abdomen, all consistent with a fall. The report confirmed that these injuries were sufficient to cause his death. No evidence of third-party involvement was found, though the prosecutor described the case as "suspicious," citing Payne's apparent alcohol and drug consumption.

The absence of defensive injuries on his hands suggested he may have lost consciousness, leading the prosecutor to consider that Payne "might have been experiencing a substance abuse episode" at the time. All indications point to Payne being alone when he died, the prosecutor added.

The case is being handled as a "doubtful death," following protocols set by the prosecutor’s office.

However, an official statement noted that "all evidence suggests the musician was alone when he fell and was likely experiencing a substance-induced episode." Buenos Aires police discovered Payne's hotel room in a state of chaos, with broken furniture and objects.

Among his belongings were packs of clonazepam, a depressant, as well as energy supplements and various over-the-counter medications. The public prosecutor also indicated that alcohol and narcotics were present in the room. Forensic teams recovered a whiskey bottle, lighter, and cellphone from the internal courtyard where Payne's body was found.

Three hotel employees and two women, who had been with Payne in his hotel room earlier that day, were questioned by the prosecutor’s office. The women had left the hotel before Payne’s death.

The prosecutor’s office stated that while they are examining the "circumstances" surrounding Payne’s death, they are also investigating "the potential involvement of third parties in the events leading up to the victim’s death."

Payne, known for his hit "Get Low," had openly shared his struggles with alcoholism. In July 2023, he posted a video on his YouTube channel revealing he had been sober for six months following treatment. Representatives for Payne have not yet responded to requests for comment.

Payne is survived by his 7-year-old son.
