Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Sunday in a post on X that there must be a "decisive fight against terrorism and its origin" after the Pahalgam terror attack.
He praised the people of Kashmir for openly standing against terrorism and the killing of innocent people. He said they did this "freely and spontaneously," showing their clear support for peace.
Omar Abdullah stressed the need to build on this support and warned against any actions that could wrongly harm innocent people. "Punish the guilty, show them no mercy, but don’t let innocent people become collateral damage," he said.
The April 22 terror attack at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam killed 26 people, most of them tourists.
