The Kapoor family, one of Bollywood's most famous film families, is now returning to the screen to share memories of their lives and relationships. Netflix has released the poster for its new documentary, "Dining with the Kapoors," which is set to release on November 21, 2025. The film will give viewers a glimpse into the family that shaped Hindi cinema for generations, with roots stretching from Prithviraj Kapoor to Ranbir Kapoor.
Documentary on the Kapoor Family
The concept of the documentary is fascinating. It attempts to showcase the history of cinema through food and family traditions. The film will chronicle the story from Raj Kapoor's era to today's new generation, revealing behind-the-scenes details that have rarely been made public. Sharing the poster, Netflix wrote, "The Kapoor family's lunch invite has arrived... and you're all invited!"
This grand documentary will feature several members of the Kapoor family together. Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain, Jahan Kapoor, Navya Naveli Nanda, and Agastya Nanda all represent the younger generation. Randhir Kapoor, Babita Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor, representing the older generation, are also part of the film.
Other family members will also be included.
Interestingly, other family members will also be included in the documentary, including Saif Ali Khan, Bharat Sahni, Manoj Jain, Nitasha Nanda, Kunal Kapoor, Shayra Kapoor, Neela Kapoor, Jatin Prithviraj Kapoor, Kanchan Desai, Namita Kapoor, and Pooja Desai. However, Alia Bhatt is not seen in the poster, nor is there any news of her being in the documentary.
Raj Kapoor's Birth Centenary
Last year, on Raj Kapoor's birth centenary, the entire Kapoor family organized a special retrospective of ten of his iconic films, which was screened in 40 cities across the country. Now, through this documentary, the Kapoor family is once again going to reach the hearts of the audience together – this time in front of the camera, sitting at the same table, sharing their experiences.
