Bareilly: A woman lost control of her SUV and crashed straight into the reception area of the luxurious Ramada Hotel in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly late on the night of July 25, creating chaos and narrowly avoiding a major tragedy. The dramatic incident, caught on the hotel's CCTV camera, surfaced online on Sunday and quickly went viral.
CCTV Captures Exact Moments Of Crash
The video shows a white compact SUV reversing at high speed before crashing through the hotel’s main glass door and halting deep inside the reception lobby. Before smashing into the hotel, the vehicle also brushed past another parked car at the entrance. The viral footage shows the moment of impact clearly, with the SUV shattering the glass door and staff and guests seen running in panic.

According to a report by Hindi news portal, Patrika, the driver, a woman advocate, had come to the hotel for dinner with her husband, who is a doctor. Eyewitnesses from the hotel revealed that the woman took control of the steering after their meal. The car, reportedly in reverse gear, accelerated abruptly when the accelerator was mistakenly pressed, causing the SUV to spiral out of control.
No Injuries Reported Despite Serious Crash
Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. Four individuals, two standing near the entrance and two others outside, managed to jump aside and escape just in time. The hotel’s entryway, especially the glass façade, was severely damaged in the incident.

According to the report, Baradari Police Station Inspector Dhananjay Pandey rushed to the scene following the crash. However, the matter did not escalate legally. Hotel management and the family involved resolved the issue mutually, opting not to pursue any formal complaint or legal action. The hotel manager, Pradeep Kumar, also downplayed it as a 'small incident' and confirmed that no action was taken in the matter.
