Youtuber Ranveer Allahbadia gave a shoutout to his 'brother' Samay Raina, and also his fellow Youtubers Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani, as they are now returning to normalcy after the massive India's Got Latent controversy. "Picture abhi baaki hai," he said, as he rooted for his friends.
On Wednesday, Ranveer conducted an interactive session on his Instagram handle, during which, a netizen asked him if he was in touch with Samay after the entire fiasco. To that, the Youtuber, popularly known as BeerBiceps, replied, "Samay will be back. All of us have gotten closer after the events. Stand by each other in good times as well as in bad times. My brother is (already) a media legend."
"God is watching over all of us. Just wanna say, love you @ashishchanchlani & @the.rebel.kid as well. Picture abhi baaki hai..." he added.
During the session, he also answered questions about the problems he faced during the whole ordeal. When asked what was the most fearful thought in the past two months, Ranveer responded, "That I let down the families of my team members because of my mistake. People don't understand how many jobs were at stake. Quickly wrote off my career and hence the careers of 300+ people. Learnt very deeply about human nature. Mobs love seeing people fall. But we will keep moving forward. I'm not 100% okay even now. Have to give it my all because MANY livelihoods depend on my work. Stay humble, stay hungry (sic)."
Meanwhile, Ranveer, Samay and Apoorva appeared before the Maharashtra cyber cell for the third time on April 15 to record their statements in the India's Got Latent case.
What is the India's Got Latent controversy?
It all began after Ranveer made an objectionable comment during his appearance as a panelist on Samay's India's Got Latent. He asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?"
Ranveer, Apoorva, Ashish and Samay received severe backlash for the distasteful remark. Though Ranveer quickly apologised, multiple FIRs were filed against him, along with Samay, Apoorva and Ashish.
Later, Samay too issued an apology and deleted all episodes of India's Got Latent from his Youtube channel, but things had already spiralled out of control by then.
