Jain organisation, Samast Mahajan, will hold a felicitation ceremony on Sunday to mark the achievements of Maharashtra Gauseva Commission.
At the ceremony at Paras Dham, Ghatkopar, the organisation will make an appeal to the community to save animal lives by adopting a cow or a gaushala.
The organisation has thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for the programme introduced to protect cows by giving gaushalas and panjrapols financial assistance of ₹50 per cow per day.
They also thanked Shekhar Mundada, Chairman of Maharashtra Gauseva Commission, who worked to strengthen the work of gauseva by ensuring assistance of ₹25 Crore for 560 gaushalas and panjrapols."His dedicated efforts have brought new life and hope to countless innocent creatures," said Girishbhai Shah, managing trustee of the organisation.Cheques will be distributed to 305 panjrapols and gaushalas that are still waiting for government aid.
The organisation will also present it's annual service report.
