BMC Launches Special Cleanliness Drive At Schools

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has launched a focused cleanliness campaign targeting several of Mumbai’s iconic playgrounds. The initial phase, running from April 1 to 4, will concentrate on spaces like Azad Maidan, Cross Maidan, Oval Maidan, Shivaji Park, Somaiya Maidan, Andheri Sports Complex, Kora Kendra in Borivali, and Mulund Sports Complex.

Following this, starting April 7, the drive will expand to cover all civic-run, government, and private schools, along with other educational institutions, and will continue for the next 15 days.

The campaign aims to clear areas affected by encroachments and persistent solid waste dumping. Clean-up activities will be conducted Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 12 PM.
