Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A pregnant woman gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Jabalpur Railway station on Saturday.
The incident took place on platform number 4 of Jabalpur Railway Station on Saturday in an emotional and inspiring incident.
According to information, Meena Kumari, who was traveling on the Sanghamitra Express (train number 12295) from Bengaluru to Danapur, suddenly experienced labor pains while the train was at the station.
An attendant quickly informed the staff. Darshan Kaurav, who was on duty, immediately called for medical help and the 108 ambulance service.
Dr. Amarnath arrived at the scene along with GRP sub-inspector Sanjeevani Rajput and some female passengers. With their support, the woman gave birth safely right there on the platform.
Soon after, the cries of the newborn filled the station, moving nearby passengers.
Many clapped to welcome the baby and celebrate the moment. Both the mother and baby were later taken by ambulance to Rani Durgavati Hospital, where doctors confirmed they were in stable condition.
GRP officials said Meena Kumari is a resident of Motihari district in Bihar and had gone into labor during her journey. The quick actions of the doctor, police, railway staff, and fellow passengers helped make the delivery safe.
