Call it cultural celebration or musical mastery, Goa is set to witness a one-of-a-kind concert this Saturday, May 3, under the tranquil canopy of a mango tree at the Silva Heritage Lawns in Benaulim.
The much-anticipated performance—aptly titled TLMP LIVE: Under the Mango Tree—will showcase the legendary Ravi Iyer Fusion Quartet in its debut performance in Goa, marking a milestone moment for lovers of Indian world fusion music.
Curated by The Live Music Project (TLMP) in collaboration with Art Escape and Silva Heritage, this exclusive, limited-capacity event promises a mesmerising evening of music that fuses Hindustani and Carnatic classical sounds with the pulse of jazz and rock.
With early bird tickets priced at just Rs 500 and gate entries at Rs 1000, fans are urged to secure their seats before they’re gone.
At the heart of the project is Ravi Iyer—a veteran guitarist and composer known for his eclectic style and iconic double-neck guitar.
Drawing inspiration from influential groups like Shakti and Mahavishnu Orchestra, Ravi’s music weaves Indian classical ragas into global grooves, creating a soundscape that is as technically rich as it is emotionally stirring.

For many Goans, this will be a rare chance to see a master at work, especially on an instrument rarely seen live—a guitar tuned for both Western and Indian classical traditions.
Joining Ravi on stage are three equally formidable musicians: Krishnan Narayanan on the mridangam, Rupak Dhamankar on tabla, and Madhur Padwal on bass. Each brings a wealth of experience and passion to the stage—Narayanan’s rhythmic brilliance honed over four decades; Dhamankar’s global acclaim as a tabla virtuoso; and Padwal’s multifaceted artistry shaped by a deep love for Indian folk traditions.
“The music is influenced by everything from Shakti to L Subramaniam and Jean-Luc Ponty,” explains Vinesh Iyer of TLMP, one of the event’s producers. “It’s a sonic journey where jazz, rock, and Indian classical converge in truly magical ways.”
This Goa debut is not just another concert—it’s a testament to the vision of TLMP, which has been bringing high-quality musical experiences to the state for over 15 years.
From international jazz festivals to grassroots art and culture events, TLMP, along with partners Art Escape and Great Ideas Boutique (GIB), has played a pivotal role in transforming Goa into a vibrant creative hub.
Guests attending the concert can expect more than music—they will be immersed in an evening that blends artistic expression, natural beauty, and a deep-rooted respect for musical heritage.
As the sun sets and the lights come up on the Silva Heritage lawns, the audience will be taken on a journey where world music finds its perfect echo and a select few will get to feel it.
