Conor Benn has not changed his feelings towards Chris Eubank Jr after their sequel was confirmed.
The pair went head-to-head back in April at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a middleweight contest. In an epic back-and-forth showdown, Eubank Jr would go on to hand Benn the first defeat of his professional career after scoring a decision victory in north London.
Both men will go head-to-head for a second time at the same venue on November 15 - with Benn eager to avenge his defeat to his bitter rival. The two fighters were were contracted to an immediate rematch which was initially set for September 20. However, Eubank Jr insisted he would not be ready.
There was speculation that the sequel would fall through - but the two teams managed to strike a deal and the rematch is set to go ahead as planned later this year. In a post uploaded to social media, Benn wrote: "I was ready in September but I’ll be even more ready for November. See you soon, Chris Eubank Jr." The 28-year-old has also shared his thoughts on his long-time in a recent interview.

Benn, , said: "It was dangerous for both, it just depends on who’s side of the fence you’re sitting on. The only thing that affected him was the rehydration, but his team said that he can’t put on more than 10lbs, so 10lbs was the limit. I’m a 147lb fighter, you can see I’m not a 160lb fighter, and I weighed in at 157lbs and I was underweight!
"But we both took a risk in fighting at a different weight, I took a risk in fighting a bigger guy, so let’s find a common ground, but there are pros and cons to us being at that weight, it all just depends on who does it better. And he didn’t do it better, because he’s unprofessional and he cost me £500,000. I still think he’s an idiot. I will always think he’s an idiot!"
Benn moved up two weight divisions to face his rival and came in under the 160lb limit, while Eubank Jr was fined £375,000 after he failed to make the middleweight limit. The boxing veteran weighed 160.2lb on his first attempt and 160.05lb on his second and final attempt.
Speaking after the ceremonial weigh-in, Eubank Jr, laid the blame for his fine at Benn's door. “It is what it is,” he said. “If they are going to take $500,000 off me for being 0.05lb off the limit, that’s what it is. That’s the kind of people Eddie Hearn, Conor Benn and Matchroom are. Weight has no relevance to what happens tomorrow night; I’m going to go out there and stop that guy.
"The rehydration clause is still in place so I have to watch what I eat and what I drink, but these things are just there to distract, to displace, to get me off track but none of it will work. He’s in for a hell of a surprise. He thinks he’s going to go out there with a hop, skip and a right hand but he has no idea the pain that us in for him tomorrow night. The procedure will be parliamentary." There was a rehydration clause on the morning of the fight - which meant both fighters could not weigh more than 170lb. Eubank Jr avoided another fine by coming in under the limit. Ahead of the rematch, the same rules as the first outing are expected to be put in place - which could lead to more drama.
When is Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr II?The 12-round middleweight rematch is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 15. It will once again be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London. Official times are yet to be confirmed - but it is likely that the undercard will begin at around 5pm UK time.
In the main event, the ringwalks will likely take place at around 9:50pm UK time. The first clash was shown on DAZN PPV for a price of £19.95, but full broadcast details will be confirmed in the near future.
