Melanie Brown's wedding guest feared her husband would be left at the altar due to her being late. Over the weekend, the Spice Girls icon married her long-term fiancée, Rory McPhee, at a stunning ceremony held at St. Paul's Cathedral.
The 50-year-old chart topper looked stunning as she wore a figure-hugging classic white gown after arriving in a white Rolls-Royce car. Meanwhile, her husband, Rory, arrived with his parents and brother as he rocked a traditional Scottish kilt, apparently wearing it fully traditionally.
However, Melanie was delayed arriving at the ceremony, leaving Dave Hughes fearing that she might not turn up. Melanie had been extremely excited about the wedding and struggled to contain her joy whenever she spoke about it.

Dave, who worked with Melanie on the Australian version of The Masked Singer, was one of several high-profile guests at the ceremony, held at the OBE Chapel, also known as St. Faith's Chapel at the London landmark. He said that he and his wife, Holly, had been "stoked" to attend the wedding.
"Mel was half an hour late," he told the Daily Mail. He went on to add: "I was slightly concerned Rory was gonna be left at the aisle in his kilt - no undies and no bride. But she turned up! Mel's little dog was entrusted to bring the ring down the aisle but she got lost and had to be chased around the chapel. Funny moment!"
But despite being excited to attend the ceremony, Dave almost missed his chance. He received the invite from Melanie's wedding planner when he was appearing on the Australian version of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in South Africa, and only found the email after he left the jungle.
Each year, only a select number of people are allowed to marry at St. Paul's and thanks to Melanie being awarded an MBE for her services to charity work supporting Women's Aid, she was one of them. The cathedral states that they are able to marry people who have an OBE, the order of St Michael and St George and those who hold a British Empire Medal and their children.
Melanie was walked down the aisle by James Steen, the husband of Louise Grannon, Melanie's biographer. While her now husband, Rory, was supported at the alter by his best man, brother, Jordan McPhee.
Melanie was supported by her bandmate, Emma Bunton, just days after the Mirror revealed why she was the only Spice Girl attending the ceremony. There had been reports that both Geri Horner and Lady Victoria Beckham had been snubbed but a source close to the band revealed to me that this wasn't the case.
"There's no snub; the girls are all on friendly terms with one another, but it's no secret that Geri is busy with Christian at Formula One, and Victoria is extremely busy with her fashion brand," my mole said. Geri was at the British Grand Prix with her husband, while Melanie C, known as Sporty Spice, was performing in Rødovre, eastern Denmark, and Victoria had commitments with her fashion business.
Emma, known as Baby Spice, delighted those in attendance by singing at the ceremony. She told the Mirror: "I am so excited to be here, I can't wait for the wedding." Leeds-born Melanie worked very closely with London-based Evelie Bridal and Josephine Scott to design the georgette crepe gown, which showcased her gym-honed physique in a corset bodice. Her beautiful gown featured draping, which hugged her silhouette and flowed freely into a dramatic train.
Meanwhile, a detachable jacket was decorated with hand-embellished pearl constellations across the high neckline, with the long-sleeved jacket framing her shoulders and adding a regal touch to her gown, in true St Paul's etiquette.
