It's been 11 months since the iPhone 16 was first shown to the world, and that means it's almost time for Apple to reveal something new. The US technology giant almost always uncovers its latest and greatest devices in September, and that means we could be weeks away from grand unveiling, and it could be a very big year for those wanting an upgrade.
Rumours are rife that we'll get an iPhone 17 and a redesigned 17 Pro with a new-look camera bump that stretches across the rear of the case. These devices are sure get new features, fasters processors and longer battery life... but that's not all.
If the latest whispers are true, Apple could also launch an iPhone 17 Air this year. As the name suggests, this device could be perfect for those wanting something a little less bulky shoved in their skinny jeans, with this call maker expected to get a super slimline design.

Samsung is already selling its sleek Galaxy S25 Edge, and it appears Apple doesn't want to be left behind for too long. If it becomes a reality, the Air could be the iPhone everyone is talking about.
So, when will things be officially confirmed and when will you be able to see the new iPhones in Apple Stores?
Apple always keeps its cards very close to its but Mirror Online has done some detective work and we think all will be unveiled on Tuesday, September 9.
Of course, we could be completely wrong as Apple likes surprises, but that date seems the most likely.
We've worked out that date by taking a quick look back at previous launches. This shows that Apple favours the second week of September and usually opens the doors of its Steve Jobs Theatre at Apple Park in California on Tuesdays to showcase what's new. In fact, out of the last six iPhone launches 4 have taken place on Tuesday in ealry September.
Here are previous launch dates for iPhones
Apple iPhone 16 - Monday, September 9
Apple iPhone 15 - Tuesday, September 12
Apple iPhone 14 - Wednesday, September 7
Apple iPhone 13 - Tuesday, September 14
Apple iPhone 12 - Tuesday, October 13 (Covid year)
Apple iPhone 11 - Tuesday, September 10
If we have got it correct, there's just over two weeks until the news is confirmed.
Apple usually sends out invites to its September launch events a couple of weeks before so we may know more very soon. Watch this space and we'll bring you all the latest news as soon as we hear more.
