Married At First Sight viewers were left 'screaming' at their televisions following an ill-fated wedding The E4 reality show, which sees total strangers matched up by dating experts and say their vows upon first meeting, returned over the weekend for its landmark 10th series and as its second episode went out on Monday night, drama unfolded after midwife Grace, 30, and operations director Ashley, 35, said their vows.
The pair had both explained how they had been looking for love, with Grace discussing how her multiple breakups had led to her finding new hobbies like gymnastics and performing stand-up comedy, and Welsh dad-of-one Ashley was keen to find the one to settle down with.
The pair got through the ceremony, but Grace would only accept a kiss on the cheek from her new husband, and cried as she told the cameras: "I'm not really sure why I'm being quite as wobbly as I am right now, I can't put my finger on why. I don't want to do this. I don't know what to say. Sorry. I think I'm just in a negative headspace about it."

Grace proceeded to keep Ashley waiting around during her meltdown, and when she finally decided to go back to him, she refused yet again to have anything more than a kiss on a cheek.
Immediately after the dramatic scenes aired, viewers took to social media to make their voices heard. In scenes leading up to the wedding, Grace was feeling nervous on her way to the ceremony, and viewers were left confused when she began reciting a poem as part of her vows. One wrote on X: "When did it become fashion to quote nursery rhymes for vows? I doubt there will be any round and round the garden!" whilst another said: "Did she just rhyme Altar with... alter? Christ. Brain of Britain here"
Another wrote: "Grace should go home at this point," whilst another raged: "Screaming at grace through my tv rn" A fifth joked: "Grace is as into Ashley as the UK is in the EU!"
Another fan wrote: "Watching Grace crash out like this shouldn't be as good yet awkward viewing as it is!"
Things only got more tense between the pair at the dinner following the wedding, when Ashley admitted that he had been raised with 'old-fashioned' morals and believed that a man should be the breadwinner. Grace was visibly shocked at this revelation, and in a confessional, she fumed: "God, here we go!"
Later on, Grace's friend Georgina interrogated Ashley over his outlook on life and when he suggested he was not necessarily a feminist, she raged that someone like that was not going to be a match for Grace.
She said: "My advice was, she wants to know you respect her." She then relayed her concerns to Grace, but insisted she had managed to warm to Ashley by explaining to him just what she thought a feminist was. This whole scene did not go down well with some viewers either, with one writing: "Grace & her friends seem like the type to bring about their own misery," and another slamming it as the 'most insufferable conversation' they had ever heard.
Viewers will have to wait to see just how things pan out between Ashley and Grace on the next episode, but the trailer for next week teased that things might not be looking so good.
In a short clip, Grace raged: "Every now and then he says something, and it's like 'Do you know how that sounds?!'"
