Married at First Sight star splits from Olympian fiancé after welcoming first child

A star has split from his Olympic swimmer fiancée just two years after they welcomed their first child together and announced their engagement. Reality TV star Ryan Gallagher is best known for appearing on MAFS back in 2018, which aired in the UK in 2020.

Ryan announced on two years ago that he had welcomed a son Sampson with Olympic swimmer girlfriend Emily Seebohm, shortly after the couple became engaged. However, they have now reportedly called it quits after nearly three years together. A source confirmed to Sky News Australia: "Ryan and Emily are trying to find a new normal, which has been a real process. Their number one priority is Sampson and ensuring he continues to feel supported by both parents.

"They haven’t felt the need to make public statements." The has reached out to Emily's representatives for comment.

Ryan is best known for being matched up with bride Davina Rankin on MAFS Australia - however, their TV marriage was short-lived after Davina cheated on Ryan with another groom in the experiment. Ryan left the show as a single man.

After the show, Ryan took part on the Australian version of ...Get Me Out of Here! where he met co-star Charlotte Crosby. The pair originally clashed on the show,

The pair kissed while on the Australian spin-off, however She told her campmates: "We can't be going on a date now. I don't think I want to."

Ryan moved on with Olympic swimmer Emily, with the reality star popping the question in December 2022. He told Woman's Day magazine: "I did get nervous. The (ring) box was making a bit of a bulge in my pocket. So either she knew I was proposing or she just thought I was happy to see her."

The couple sparked concern with their romance after fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on social media. Ryan even went as far as removing photos of Emily from his feed, including photos with their baby Sampson following his birth.

Emily and Ryan did spent together as they headed to visit Santa Claus alongside their son. It wasn't just Ryan who appeared to have hinted at the split.

The Olympian sparked concern when she headed on a day out with Sampson to a theme park. Eagle-eyed fans noticed she wasn't wearing her engagement ring in the snap from the day out.

She was flooded with concern from fans, as one asked: "Where's Ryan?" Another added: "That's true. I hope they are okay." Someone else commented: "No Ryan and no ring. I hope it doesn't mean anything."

Last month, Emily shared a sweet clip of her playing with her son and her ring was absent once again.
