BEAR TO DREAM is fancied to rack up a fourth victory at Brighton by beating eight opponents for the Star Sports Brighton Owners Series Apprentice Classified Stakes (2.25) in East Sussex on Monday.
All three of the Michael Attwater-trained mare’s turf successes have come at Brighton, and Bear To Dream has run with credit at the track on her last two outings.
At the end of April, Bear To Dream came home strongly from the rear of the field to finish third behind Krancjar and Voltaic.
That effort almost certainly needs marking up, given that the first two disputed the lead from the outset and that Bear To Dream delivered her challenge on the wide outside.
The six-year-old moves from handicap to classified company here and, with Ryan Kavanagh’s 5lb claim coming in very handy, Bear To Dream should give another good account of herself.
At Windsor, FOREVER MY PRINCE is expected to step forward from a return-to-action second at Newmarket last month and land the Download The Raceday Ready App Confined Handicap (5.40).
That run, which yielded a two-and-a-quarter-length beating by My Mate Kev, was the Eve Johnson Houghton-saddled three-year-old’s first outing for 310 days, and a 1lb nudge up the weights may not stop him from going one better.
