Fortnite is hinting at a fresh partnership with Daft Punk which is scheduled to arrive in an interactive experience launching this weekend.

Fortnite adores its musical collaborators, to such an extent that it has virtually created its own mode purely to welcome them aboard. Naturally, examples like the Deadmau5 cosmetic bundle remain exceptions, but following the Gorillaz skin leaks that resulted in their own Fortnite Festival season, it has become evident that the artists who grace the game have earned a superior platform.

With this in consideration, we've now witnessed teasers suggesting a rather massive collaboration for the game – the legendary Daft Punk have been speculated to arrive in the game, and now suddenly, the game has stepped forward with a fresh blog post that has disclosed everything we need to understand about the major partnership – and in an unexpected turn, it's not actually a live event.

But what exactly is on its way? Here's what you need to understand about the Fortnite Daft Punk Experience launch date, and everything we've discovered thus far.

Fortnite Daft Punk Experience launch date

The Fortnite Daft Punk Experience launch date has been disclosed to be Saturday, September 27 at 11am PDT / 2pm EDT / 7pm BST with a Grand Opening. This date and time has been verified by the recentFortnite Daft Punk Experience blog post.

The Experience is reported to "be available for a while" according to the blog post, so whilst we'll probably receive a date further along the line, for now, it's here to stay.

What we know about the Fortnite Daft Punk Experience

The Fortnite Daft Punk Experience won't be a live event, but rather an interactive experience that lets players dive into the duo's music and create their own remixes.

During this virtual extravaganza, you'll have the chance to explore Dream Chamber Studios where you can produce remixes, blast robots in the Robot Rock Arena, and let loose in the Daft Club. There's also the exciting prospect of creating a Lego music video in the Around The World area, which will undoubtedly be a hit with Lego Fortnite players keen to show off the Lego styles of the EDM duo (more on that soon).

The Fortnite Daft Punk Experience will commence with its Grand Opening, featuring visuals and audio from NASA and The Recording Academy.

Fortnite Daft Punk skins and cosmetics

This fresh collaboration has given birth to a range of Fortnite Daft Punk cosmetics, set to debut in the Item Shop starting on Thursday, September 25 at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT, and Friday, September 26 at 1am BST.

It's surprising that the band won't be rolled out for their own Fortnite Festival season, but with gameplay as immersive and varied as this, it's fair to say that this is a better deal for players.
