Woman rushed to hospital after falling from aerobridge at Sydney Airport

A woman has been rushed to with suspected head injuries after falling from a height at

Emergency services rushed to the airport's domestic terminal following reports that the woman had fallen five to six meters from the aerobridge onto the tarmac below at around 12.30pm on Saturday, May 3. treated the woman at the scene for critical head and internal injuries.

Witnesses described scenes of chaos with airport staff rushing to secure the area as paramedics worked on the woman. Travelers have been told that operations at domestic terminal three may experience delays as police investigate the incident.

A Sydney Airport spokesperson said: "Earlier today an airline employee fell from an aerobridge in the T3 Domestic Terminal. They were attended to by first-aid responders and transferred by ambulance to hospital for further treatment. Safe Work NSW has also been notified. Our focus is on the welfare of the injured staff member and assisting Safe Work NSW with their enquiries."

The area has been cordoned off while investigations are carried out. The circumstances surrounding the fall are being looked into by the Federal Police.
