Pahalgam Attack: A major revelation has been made in the investigation of the Pahalgam attack. Investigators have found out that 15 local people had helped the attackers. All of them are residents of Kashmir Valley. Through electronic surveillance, it was learned that these people had provided logistical support and weapons to the attackers. Initial investigation has also revealed that the weapons received by the attackers were sent from Pakistan. After this new revelation, security agencies have started searching for these local helpers. The operation has been intensified to catch the entire network.
The investigating agency is focusing on the main suspectsThe investigating agencies are currently focusing on five main suspects. Three of them have been arrested and are being questioned, while the search for the remaining two Over Ground Workers (OGW) is on. On the day of the attack, these five suspects were seen around the crime scene. Their mobile phones were also active in the same area. A chat has also been found during electronic surveillance, in which the three arrested suspects were talking about helping the Pakistani terrorists present in Pahalgam.
Meanwhile, more than 200 Over Ground Workers (OGWs) have been detained for questioning. They are being asked about their activities before the attack. According to media reports, the police are trying to find out how and through whom the attack was planned.

Local supporters of terroristsAccording to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, these 15 local helpers are already registered as Over Ground Workers (OGWs). They are believed to have helped Pakistani terrorists involved in several attacks in South Kashmir in the last few years. These helpers had helped the terrorists in supplying logistics, showing them the way in the forests and bringing consignments of weapons from Pakistan. A source told the Times of India that investigators have sufficient evidence that these local helpers had helped the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack.
