He wrote on the social media platform 'X' that the deepening ties between India and Japan are crucial for peace, stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.

She received 237 votes compared to 149 votes for Yoshihiko Noda, leader of Japan's Conservative Democratic Party.
