Former Premier League star Troy Deeney believes that Alexander Isak needs to take a page out of his book if he is to force through his move to Liverpool this summer. The forward is keen to leave Newcastle and went public with his feelings on the saga, alluding to how promises have been broken by the club with their 'no sale' stance.
Liverpool have already seen one bid rejected for the Swedish international, and a second offer is in the works - but the Reds are biding their time in hope that Newcastle can bring in at least one striker to ensure there is a chance they will negotiate a deal.
In the meantime, Isak is training alone in hope that an agreement can be reached between the clubs. However, ex-Watford captain Deeney believes that the striker may now need to turn to desperate measures to ensure he is granted his dream move.
Writing for The Sun, Deeney explained that he feels Isak may need to 'burn bridges' with his teammates by spoiling training sessions, among other things, in order to force Newcastle's hand in the final week of the summer transfer window.

He wrote: "At the end of the day, Newcastle want what's best for Newcastle. His agent selfishly will want a good deal himself but, ultimately, his job is to do right by his player. But how they should have played it is how I played it with my agent when I was pushing to move from Walsall to Watford back in the summer of 2010.
"In private, my agent said to me, 'You're going to have to kick up a fuss here. You're going back to training and you'll do all of the running, but as soon as a ball is involved, you're going to have to ruin sessions, you're going to have to kick balls away. But importantly, you can't let anyone on the outside know what's going on.'
"It was really hard, you would go home feeling guilty, being a d*** in training for no reason, burning bridges for people you quite like. But you've just got to remember who you're doing it for: yourself. That's how Isak will be feeling. This is a career-changing, career-defining move.
"You're going from Newcastle to one of the biggest clubs in world football in Liverpool, where you are probably going to win major titles." Newcastle's Saudi ownership have insisted throughout the summer that Isak would stay put at St James' Park, but if the forward starts to jeopardise the clubs hopes of progression then it remains to be seen how they would respond to a British transfer record-breaking bid from Liverpool.
