Initially, Riley dusted all the plant's leaves, enabling the to take in sunlight without a layer of dust blocking the sun's rays.
Next, Riley watered the plant, as drooping leaves can be a sign of dehydration in this species of plant.
Bizarrely, but perhaps because of the size of her peace lily, Riley watered her peace lily plant in the shower.
Riley explained: "I took it to the shower to soak all the leaves and all the soil completely through."
Finally, Riley repotted her peace lily into a larger pot with drainage holes to prevent water logging.
Within a few hours, the once droopy leaves perked up, sparking a wave of enthusiasm among fellow green-thumbed social media users.
Riley posted on her YouTube video: "Is your peace lily just as dramatic as mine? They can be so bratty but honestly it's so fun to see such a drastic transformation in a matter of hours."
Comments flooded in, with one user revealing: "My peace lily was giving me such a hard time.
"I gave her a shower for 10 minutes and she perked back up. Some leaves turned yellow, but she looks happy and I have new growth. Thank you!"
