A stunning little in with a beautiful 2-mile beach is experiencing a drop in house prices. House prices in coastal areas are slumping, and two places in are suffering more than the rest.

The latest research by leading residential Park Bungalow provider, Regency Living, revealed that the high cost of homeownership has caused the property market across some of the nation's most sought-after coastal locations to slump over the last year. Perranporth saw the most severe decreases with house prices falling by an average of £13k, while the difference in Padstow was £10k.

Encircled by towering cliffs and sweeping dunes, this expansive sandy beach offers activities for everyone, from snorkeling and sunbathing to splashing in the waves.

Perranporth is renowned for good waves, and has a number of surf schools and surf hire shops. The beach is monitored by lifeguards during the main school holidays, and daily from May to September.

A second user said: "This beach has everything. Large park car parks in the town along with numerous eateries and shops as well as public facilities including showers. The beach itself is title always leaving an area of sand however the sea washes the rest of the beach beautifully clean twice a day.

"There is surf hire available on the beach as well as rock pools and caves to explore with the remnants of old tin mining infrastructure visible within the cliffs. The waves make for brilliant surfing and body boarding.

"The beach itself is over a mile long and at the end of this is access to the Haven caravan site and old mining works which are interesting to look at. This beach is perfect for a family beach day as it has everything you could possibly need. There is also chapel rock which has a small title pool within it."

A third user claimed it as the "best beach in England" and wrote: "Good massive beach, it was fun to go to and surf on, with massive cool beaches. The cliff faces are amazing to look at, the surfing area is brilliant, as well as there being a surf school, it is well lifeguarded by the RNLI, There is a pub aswell on the beach. The dunes are nice and sandy too. Lovely day out."
