Coronation Street rocked by pregnancy bombshell after Joel Deering confirmed dead

Coronation Street enthusiasts are left in suspense, suspecting that Dee-Dee Bailey might be carrying Joel Deering's child in a shocking plot twist. On Monday (October 14), the ITV drama saw Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) deliver the grim news of Joel's body discovery to DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).

Kit later disclosed that the post-mortem revealed two blows to Joel's head were the cause of death, despite his body being found in a river.

The police have initiated a murder inquiry into the lawyer's death, with a plethora of characters potentially implicated.

Joel's (portrayed by Calum Lill) unexpected death follows his exposure to his violent and deeply frightening behaviour toward Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).

DS Swain has not been secretive about her desire to bring Joel down, going to great lengths in her pursuit, but the identity of Joel's killer remains unknown as a new Weatherfield 'whodunit' officially begins, reports .

Meanwhile, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) ended her engagement to Joel upon discovering he was the father of Lauren's baby son. This upheaval motivated solicitor Dee-Dee to ensure she brought Joel to justice.

After Kit confirmed Joel's death to her, an overly emotional Dee-Dee appeared to struggle with the news both physically and mentally.

However, some Coronation Street viewers are predicting that Dee-Dee will end up pregnant with Joel's child in one final twist.

Avid Corrie enthusiasts took to Reddit with their theories, with one fan positing: "I'm predicting that Dee Dee isn't just sick over the murder of Joel, but possibly also pregnant with his baby."

They continued, speculating on the character's beliefs and potential plot twists: "If she is, that would be a cruel twist after everything the poor woman has been through. I'm also aware she doesn't believe in sex before marriage so I could be dead wrong here. Thoughts..? ".

Another viewer concurred, saying: "I thought so too," while a third added their suspicion: "That's the first thing I thought of when she said she felt nauseous. She is having a devil child."

Further speculation came from another fan who suggested a darker turn: "I think Joel drugged her and ... (sorry, didn't want to type it out) and that was why celibacy was mentioned so often in the show as it was pointless when it was said...or they had a mistake, but she is 100% pregnant.."

Concerns were voiced by another viewer: "I was thinking something similar, I just really hope it's not the case", and the discussion continued with another adding: "There'll be a flashback where she realised she was drugged and Joel.."
