star Rupert Grint has welcomed his second child with his longtime girlfriend Georgia Groome. The 36-year-old former child star and his girlfriend were spotted doting on the baby in Hampstead, London having not announced they were expecting again. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Wednesday, almost five years ago.
The Ron Weasley actor was dressed head to toe in black and smiled as he held the tiny new arrival close to his chest. The baby was wrapped in a blanket to shield them from spring chill but their shock of red hair inherited from their father was on display. Meanwhile Georgia was spotted planting a kiss on the tot's head when she held her in her arms. The couple are famously private about their family life and their firstborn's arrival was also a surprise as they had made no prior announcement of Georgina's pregnancy.
Rupert only joined Instagram when she arrived in order to announce the news, but quickly racked up more than a million followers.
"Hey Instagram... only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert," he wrote at the time.
Since then his daughter has only appeared on his social media on one other occassion.
He posted an image of her over three years ago to commemorate a reunion with his Harry Potter co-stars who include Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson.
Although he rarely discusses his family Rupert did make a rare comment on fatherhood in 2021.
"It's great. I'm absolutely loving being a dad. It's just the best thing," he told "It's amazing how it completely kind of takes over everything. It's all I really care about, so it's been great."
Rupert was just 11 when he was cast as Ron Weasley in the Potter films, the first of which was released in 2001, and 22 when the eighth and final film in the francise was released in 2011.
On the back of that success he reportedly boasts a £42million fortune and a massive property portfolio.
