A former who spent 16 years with has named her best in the whole of the UK.
Skye Taylor has travelled all over the world because of her job and she said one "incredible" airport in England goes unfairly under the radar. She even compared the experience to going on a private jet.
And, speaking to Express.co.uk, she said: "I will probably say the best UK airport... I can't stand ! Most of the reason I left my job in the end was because I hated the airport.
"Before that I used to love Gatwick but that was a personal thing because everyone was happy there because they are going on holiday rather than feeling miserable from Heathrow.
"But I would say London City Airport [is the best] - it literally makes you feel like it is a private airport. Everyone is really nice there. It is run properly and it is obviously an amazing takeoff in the centre of London so you can't get any better than that. It is an incredible runway too - or maybe I'm just a big geek."
Skye, 50, is now a content creator and the mum regularly shares flight tips on social media. Her fondness for London City Airport is one shared by many in the capital given it is just six miles from the centre of London and just three miles from Canary Wharf.
It opened back in 1987 and unlike the bigger international airports, it has operating hours from 4.45am until 10pm most days - while not opening until 10.45am on Sundays. It was recently named the best airport in London for 2025 by consumer choice site
And expanding on what makes it stand out, Skye continued: "Just the service there and everything! A lot of people don't use it when you can actually. Say you are going to Amsterdam, people will automatically go to Gatwick or something like that, but with London City you can actually get some really good deals from the actual airport.
"The staff are just really nice there and it always feels calm which is half the problem at the moment in the UK - our airports are not calming places. Most people are panicked, especially after Covid and with all these airline accidents, people are stressed before they even get there."

Concluding, the flying veteran said: "So London City is an incredible airport - it is really nicely laid out and it just makes you think you are going on a private jet or something.
"You are treated so good and Heathrow is so busy and I think they often don't have a lot of time to even be courteous to you let alone worrying about what they should be worrying about for security because they are so high on alert for security."
