However, it wasn't to be for the Claret and Blues, as their 3-2 victory on the night meant PSG progressed to the semi-finals with a 5-4 victory on aggregate. William was seen clapping the players with a look of disappointment on his face following the full time whistle.
The Prince of Wales, 42, and his oldest son Prince George, 11, are Aston Villa fans and have been seen at a number of games before.

During Villa's goals, William and George could be seen celebrating together as they were seen jumping up and cheering from the stands.
At times, both William and George also appeared tense as a win seemed to slip further away from Villa's grip. At one point, the future King put his head in his hands.
The father and son watched the game in good company, with the Duke and Duchess of Westminster also in attendance.
