That's right, certain contain a mega value - if you're seriously lucky. Previously, a hit headlines for its incredibly large worth.
In recent months, experts are constantly telling Brits to keep an eye on their stash. Now user @CoinCollectingWizard revealed a penny coin that's worth £150,000 - but only one kind.
In his viral video, he said: "Attention this coin is worth at least £150,000. This is the 1933 pre-decimal penny from the United Kingdom.
"Now obviously I don't have the coin, this is a fake copy version. Do you have this coin from 1933? If so you are rich."
However, he warned not to jump the gun, as many pennies can appear similar, potentially leading you to mistakenly think you've hit the jackpot. To authenticate such a valuable find, it is crucial to check for the 1933 date.
Stressing the coin's rarity, he added: "But I guarantee you do not have this coin, how do I know? Because it's one of the rarest coins ever produced, there are other dates on those old pennies you might have though and some do hold a decent value.
"But it's never going to have the crazy value of the 1933 penny, as only seven are known to exist."
He explained how legions of his followers message him daily, convinced they've struck gold with the coin, but fail to check the crucial detail - the date.
To spot the ones that could fetch a fortune, always examine the date, or you can ask the TikTok expert for guidance.
He added: "There are other dates to look out for, but obviously not as the same value as the 1933 penny."
The @CoinCollectingWizard wrapped up his post by noting some dates are still rare and valuable. Since the video went live, it racked up nearly 1,000 likes and scores of comments.
One user commented: "You have my attention." While another chimed in: "Has to be 1933!"
