New Porsche 911 GT3 To Make Debut On October 18

Porsche recently took the wraps off of the 992.2 generation of the 911 bringing the base Carrera and GTS model out of the shadows. Now the automaker is ready to bring out the first of the hardcore GT variants of the family. As per the announcement made by Porsche, the sports car will make its debut on October 18. Until then, the brand has teased the car with a teaser and by divulging some earlier details.The teaser image revealed by Porsche showcases the distinguished silhouette of the 911 GT3. This version of the car seems to have the same kind of focus on the aeros as the previous version with a huge spoiler meant to utilize all of the power produced by the engine. Additionally, the car is expected to see some other improvements in aerodynamics to further boost its preciseness on a track.Also Read: Porsche claims that the new version of the car will be more exhilarating and innovative when compared to the previous generation. To back the claims, the brand has shown a roll bar visible through the rear window in the shadowy teaser of the car. Additionally, the driver in the image has his helmet on hinting at the car's track-focused intentions.The German automaker also said that the sports car will make its debut with two variants both to be introduced at the same time. Chances are these will be the winged GT3 and the wingless GT3 Touring variants.The powertrain details of the new Porsche 911 GT3 are not known yet. Chances are, instead of going hybrid the 911 GT3 will continue to have a pure ICE engine. In its outgoing version, the 911 GT3 comes with a 4.0-litre flat-six engine that produces 500 hp of power and 459 Nm of torque.
