UPSRTC to hold job fairs across UP to recruit women conductors

Lucknow: In a first, UPSRTC will organise job fairs exclusively to recruit women conductors.

The drive will be held in different regions from April 8 to April 17.

On the first day, job fairs will be organised in Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Bareilly, Ayodhya, and Varanasi, while Lucknow, Noida, Agra, Gorakhpur, and Moradabad will have the event on April 17. Each of the 20 regions that UPSRTC has will have the job fairs held during the 10-day period. While a few regions will be covered on April 11, the rest will have the recruitment drive on April 15. The job fairs were planned in Feb but were postponed due to Maha Kumbh. A similar drive was held to recruit more than 7,000 drivers on contract in Nov last year.
