SSC CHSLE slot selection 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced that the Tier 1 examination of the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSLE) 2025 will commence from November 12, 2025. The exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
In a move to streamline the examination process and enhance candidate convenience, SSC has introduced a self-slot selection facility. Candidates will be able to select their preferred city, date, and shift for appearing in the CHSLE 2025 Tier 1 examination.
Self-slot selection window from October 22 to October 28
According to the official communication, the self-slot selection portal will remain open from October 22 to October 28, 2025. To access this facility, candidates must log in to the SSC candidate portal using their credentials.
During the selection process, candidates can choose from three cities previously submitted at the time of application. Based on the availability of slots, the portal will display various dates and shifts in the selected cities. Candidates may select any available slot as per their convenience.
Slot availability based on city preference
If slots in all three preferred cities are already filled, the system will offer additional optional cities where seats are available. In such cases, SSC will allot the candidate a slot on a best-effort basis. However, candidates will not have the option to select a specific date or shift in the newly chosen city.
It is important to note that candidates who have opted for regional language mediums may face limited choices in available shifts and dates.
No change permitted after slot selection
SSC has advised candidates to make their selections carefully. Once the slot is selected and submitted, no request for change in date, city or shift will be entertained by the Commission. The allotment will be based solely on the choices exercised during the selection window.
Non-selection will imply unwillingness to appear
For candidates who do not utilise the self-slot selection facility within the given time frame, SSC will consider that they are not willing to appear for the CHSLE 2025 examination.
Guidance document to be available on portal
To assist candidates with the slot selection process, SSC will provide a self-explanatory guidance document. This will include detailed instructions along with necessary screenshots and will be accessible through the official candidate portal.
