Ram Navami holds a great religious and spiritual significance in Hindu religion as this day celebrates the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Rama. On this auspicious day, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu took birth in the human form. He was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya in Ayodhya. Lord Rama is regarded as the epitome of virtue, idealism, and dharma (righteousness). This day also represents the triumph of good over evil and dharma as this day is the last day of Chaitra Navratri, the period of fasting and devotion to the Divine Feminine energy, ends on Ram Navami in various traditions. This festival is celebrated with great grandeur and enthusiasm by all Shri Ram Bhakts across the world. Ram Lala's birthday is celebrated with immense happiness and fervor in Ayodhya city where Ram Lala was born. A large number of devotees visit this place and offer prayers to Shri Ram.

According to the Hindu Scriptures, King Dasharatha had three wives but he had no children. As a result, on the advice of Maha Rishi Vashishth, King Dasharatha performed Ashwamegha Yagya for Putra Prapti (for sons). Following the Yajna, the queens received a bowl of kheer that had been blessed by the Lord of Yajnas himself. They soon became mothers to four sons after consuming the auspicious kheer. On the ninth day of the month of Chaitra, Sumitra gave birth to Lord Shatrughan and Lord Lakshaman, Kaikeyi gave birth to Lord Bharat, and Kaushalya gave birth to Lord Ram. Since then, Hindu followers are celebrating Lord Shri Ram's birth anniversary with tremendous majesty all over the world.

Ram Navami is celebrated with great pomp and show in the different regions of country. There is a lot of zeal and passion in celebrating this day. Some devotees organise kirtans and Bhajans, while others conduct the Ramcharitmanas Path, which is a another great sacred text of Hindus. The famous Ram temple, the birthplace of Lord Ram, Ayodhya Ram Mandir, is a popular destination for tourists in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. उपजा जब ग्याना प्रभु मुसुकाना चरित बहुत बिधि कीन्ह चहै। कहि कथा सुहाई मातु बुझाई जेहि प्रकार सुत प्रेम लहै॥3॥
माता पुनि बोली सो मति डोली तजहु तात यह रूपा। कीजै सिसुलीला अति प्रियसीला यह सुख परम अनूपा॥
सुनि बचन सुजाना रोदन ठाना होइ बालक सुरभूपा। यह चरित जे गावहिं, हरिपद पावहिं, ते न परहिं भवकूपा /4/
