WNBA player Caitlin Clark has a fan following of over 3 million on Instagram, and that is just an example of the massive fan base the Indiana Fever point guard enjoys. The latest addition to her fan list is Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic , who recently called Clark his favorite WNBA player. Not only that, Doncic, who was recently traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers, also declined to praise Paige Bueckers , who will now be playing in the WNBA for the Dallas Wings and has yet to prove herself on the professional court.

Luka Doncic names Caitlin Clark as his favoriteDuring his appearance on Sundae Conversation with Caleb Pressley, Luka Doncic was asked about his favorite WNBA player, and the new Lakers star didn’t miss a beat, promptly naming Caitlin Clark as his favorite. The Indiana Fever point guard is often referred to as the "Stephen Curry of women’s basketball" and has drawn praise from stars like LeBron James and Curry himself.

However, when the interviewer asked Doncic about Paige Bueckers, the Lakers star said, "She's okay. I haven't seen her play in the women's NBA." The interviewer mentioned soon after that Bueckers would be playing for the Dallas Wings, the Dallas Mavericks’ affiliated women’s team.

Reacting to the video clip from the interview, a fan wrote on X, “Now that’s a smart man and basketball player.” Another said, “Luka is a ball knower.” One more said, “Honest response. Talent recognizes talent.” An X user also noted: “He states the obvious great point. Let’s let her do it on the court before crowning her better than Caitlin.”

One more X user said, “Not him bumping CC and shading Dallas in the same clip.” Another said: “Dallas would’ve been so lit with Luka and Paige…Mavs FO messed this up so bad man.”

Caitlin Clark is among the top players in the WNBA. She has a season average of 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists, with a field goal percentage of 41.7 percent.
