NBA Standings through April 3: Where each team stands with the Playoffs less than two weeks away

Send Push
The NBA Playoffs are less than 2 weeks away, and every team is pushing way above their weight to secure a suitable position for themselves in the postseason. The regular season right now is nothing short of extraordinary, as every game feels like a desperate attempt to achieve what everyone wants. While some teams are way off in the race to the finish line, that does not mean they have given up, even if technically, there is nothing to do. As of April 3, let's look at the latest standing in the NBA.

Eastern Conference
In the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics have clinched their division, securing their spot in the postseason. The New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers have also clinched their playoff position, thus making their playoff dreams a reality.

For the rest of the teams who are still in the play, the Milwaukee Bucks with a 41-34 run currently, are the most likely of making it to the playoffs. The Detroit Pistons and the Orlando Magics also have a pretty good chance at moving forward, along with the Atlanta Hawks, all of whom have clinched postseason.

Finally, the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls have clinched play-in, and will be fighting it out to make the final two seeds in the playoffs. The rest of the teams in the Eastern Conference are out of playoff claims, and won't be playing in the 2025 postseason.

Western Conference
In the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Thunders have clinched the conference, whereas the Houston Rockets have clinched the division, and both seat comfortably at the two highest positions in the playoffs. The Western Conference is a lot more chaotic than its Eastern counterpart, with a lot up in the air.

As of now, the Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Golden State Warriors, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Los Angeles Clippers have all clinched postseason, and will be moving towards the playoffs with their position in the table pretty solid.

Lastly, five teams have clinched play-in - the Dallas Mavericks, the Sacramento Kings, the Phoenix Suns, the Portland Trail Blazers and the San Antonio Spurs - and all of them are fighting tooth and nail to secure their playoff spot. Unfortunately, the last two teams, the New Orleans Pelicans and the Utah Jazz are out of the playoff contention for the season. The play-in tournaments will be held from April 15 till 18. And then the NBA playoffs start from April 19.
