Thunder Rosa wins gold after her in-ring return
AEW star Thunder Rosa has made her return to the ring. She had been out of action for over a month since her last match on the August 31st episode of AEW Collision. Rosa clarified that her absence was due to a concussion, addressing previous speculation about other issues. Now fully healed, the superstar returned to the ring less than a week after announcing her medical clearance. The former AEW Women’s Champion further revealed that she was ready to compete again.

During a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, she confirmed her medical clearance and thanked the AEW medical team for their assistance during her recovery. “I want to thank the AEW medical team and everyone involved — I’m finally cleared,” Rosa said during the podcast. “If you feel that you have a concussion, please go to your doctor. If you are an athlete, let your coaches know that this is important,” she added.

Rosa returned to action on Tuesday, claiming the Riot Cabaret Women’s Championship by defeating Nina Samuels in the main event of Riot Cabaret Thunder Road.

The Mexican-American wrestler is still signed to All Elite Wrestling and is expected to make her return to the promotion soon.

Rosa made her AEW debut on the August 22, 2020, episode of Dynamite, and cut a promo on then-AEW Women's World Champion Hikaru Shida immediately challenging her to a title match at the All Out pay-per-view show. On the special St. Patrick's Day Slam edition of Dynamite on March 16, Rosa claimed her first AEW Women’s World Championship by defeating Baker in a Steel Cage match in her adopted hometown of San Antonio, Texas.

With Rosa’s return to AEW, she is expected to go for another title shot again.
