Indian diaspora holds peaceful demonstration in Zurich honoring Pahalgam victims

Members of the Indian diaspora and their well-wishers gathered on Saturday in Zürich, Switzerland, to hold a peaceful demonstration, showing solidarity with the victims of the recent terror attacks in Pahalgam.

The event filled with heartfelt unity and compassion aimed towards honoring the loss of innocent lives and drew attention to the urgent need to confront religious extremism and terrorism through

Participants held placards with messages such as “confront religious extremism,” “solidarity with terror victims,” and “come on India, now or never – crush the monster.” Many proudly waved both Indian and Swiss flags, symbolising peace, harmony, and cross-cultural solidarity.

Held in a prominent public square, the gathering drew families, children, and community leaders, calling for a world free from violence and extremism.

Participants reaffirmed their support for the victims and their families, emphasising the urgent need for collective global action against terrorism.

The Pahalgam terror attack took 26 lives, where terrorists gunned down tourists in the Baisaran valley on 22 April. Since the tragedy India has launched a series of strict measures against Pakistan including revoking the Indus water treaty and closing the Wagah-Attari border.
