Xbox Expands 'Stream Your Own Game' to Consoles: Game Pass Ultimate Users on Series S/X Can Now Stream Owned Titles

Send Push

In a major expansion of its cloud gaming ecosystem, Microsoft has rolled out its ‘Stream Your Own Game’ feature to all Xbox Series S and Series X consoles for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Previously available only on PC, mobile, and select smart devices, this update allows players to stream select owned titles directly from the cloud—no installation required.

Stream Owned Games Directly on Xbox Consoles

With the new feature now live, Xbox users can skip lengthy downloads and instantly stream games they own, provided the titles support cloud play. This not only saves valuable storage space but also enables players to access their favorite titles faster than ever.

To use the feature:

  • Navigate to My games & apps > Full library > Owned Games

  • Look for titles with the cloud icon badge

  • Tap Play with Cloud Gaming to start playing instantly

Users can also apply the Cloud gaming filter to easily find supported games.

Xbox Cloud Gaming Library Grows

In tandem with this rollout, Microsoft has expanded the catalog of cloud-playable games available to Game Pass Ultimate members. The newly supported lineup includes popular titles like:

  • Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed

  • Kill It With Fire

  • LEGO Marvel Superheroes

  • Subnautica 2

  • Monster Jam Showdown

  • Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 2

  • Squirrel with a Gun

  • Wanderstop

The company has confirmed 19 more games will be added soon, bringing the total streamable game count to over 100.
